Calling all Poets

To celebrate National Poetry Week, the Library is  planning a poetry reading in early April — we’re thinking about late afternoon (3-ish to 5-ish) on EITHER Tuesday April 6 or Wednesday April 7. If you’re interested in reading your poetry or the poetry of others, drop us a note.

The Ghost in the Library

The Ghost in the Library

We apologize for all the racket in the library this week, but it’s for a good cause: Campus Services is improving the safety and security of the main floor by upgrading the side doors into alarmed fire doors. This maintenance is part of our spring improvements that will feature more computers,  more space for both group and quiet study, and a cutting-edge RFID security system.

Nicole’s Mac Tip of the Week

Did you know that you can use your MacBook trackpad to zoom-in to a particular part of your screen? This is very helpful when projecting your screen during class, as it will focus directly on the part of the screen that you would like to students to see. See this post for instructions.

Congrats…

To Laurie Seidler’s writing students for their “mock reading” in the library on  February 26.

We look forward to seeing more events in the library (an end-of-semester reading, perhaps?). Just ask!
