The big news is next week’s all-campus barbecue, dip contest, and library open house, Tuesday, April 20, 12-2 p.m. Be there or be square! You will be delighted with the spiffing-up of the Library upstairs and downstairs. If you are not on the meal plan, the Library will cover your lunch.

The dip contest will also feature tastings for 25 cents each — proceeds to Reach Academy. Don’t miss the Awards Ceremony at 1:45!

HOW TO ENTER THE DIP CONTEST

The registration deadline for the dip contest has been extended to Thursday, April 15.

To register for the dip contest, send Sara Linton (linton@hnu.edu) the following three pieces of information:

1. Your Team Members
2. Your Dip Team Name/Theme
3. Whether you need electricity to heat your dip

We warn you that the library will be a fierce competitor in this contest! We double-dare you to beat our dip!

WE’RE HAVING A NICE FRIEND FOR DINNER…

Katie Coykendall's Capstone Project Exhibit

The poetry-art event last week was a smashing success. Katie Coykendall provided a fascinating introduction to her work (now on display in the library–come see it!), and we then shared favorite poems. Professor Gilbert’s husband did a particularly feeling performance of a poem he had written which included themes of cannibalism.

See more pictures on Flickr. Thanks to all who participated, and expect more events in the future!
