Cushing Library Hawk Squawk for May 26, 2010

by

YES, WE’RE OPEN!

As a reminder, the Cushing Library is open 10-7 Monday through Thursday, and 10-3 Friday and Saturday.

Also, in support of Holy Name’s next Nursing Weekend,   we are open 10-7 Friday June 4, and 10-7 Saturday June 5.

Free wifi, comfy chairs, iMacs, a nifty scanner, mobile whiteboards, expert help, and much more–come on by!

BOXES NEEDED

We are in need of sturdy boxes (with flaps or lids) to help us relocate books in the library. Boxes used for printer paper are ideal.

Persepolis and Persepolis 2

Persepolis and Persepolis 2er are are ideal.

PERSEPOLIS AT THE LIBRARY

The library has several copies of Persepolis, which is the 2010-2011 First Year Experience book at Holy Names, and we have also purchased both Persepolis 2, and the DVD of the movie (which was nominated for an Academy Award).

WELCOME EMILY KOSTER

Education Collection

Emily to the rescue!

Emily Koster is a library student at San Jose State who is working with us this summer on the heroic task of organizing and cataloging children’s books used by the Education program.  Thanks also to Thea Maestre and Sister June of the Education Department for helping Emily with this project.
