NEW HOURS THIS FALL, WITH SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE!

Spiffy makeover of the study rooms

Spiffy makeover of the study rooms

In a few days we debut our new website, which has all kinds of new tools and announces all kinds of spiffy new services–including our renovated lower-level study rooms, which you’ll be able to reserve in advance through an easy web form!

But this week our big news is our fall hours, effective Monday, August 30 (the slight delay is caused by our need to hire and train new student workers):

Monday-Thursday 10-9
Friday & Saturday 10-3
Sunday 4-9

You asked for Sunday evening hours, and we delivered! We will also offer longer hours (10-5 Friday and Saturday) during Nursing Weekends.

Additionally, to support your research needs, librarians are now on duty most afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Also, for best safety and service, the library now always has at least two workers on duty.

Note, as funding currently stands, for the spring semester we may need to reduce hours and eliminate extended hours for Nursing Weekends (our funding for our temporary, part-time reference librarian ends December 31) — but we will cross that bridge if and when we get to it.

ADJUNCTS: LET THEM KNOW TO GET HNU EMAIL ADDRESSES!

If you know adjunct instructors who do not have HNU email addresses, please encourage them to contact the campus IT helpdesk (510-436-1611 or helpdesk@hnu.edu). Adjuncts may not think they need campus email, but their HNU email address serves as their off-campus login for our 70-plus databases.
