VGA Cables and MacBook VGA Adapters

Read a Good Book Lately?

Copies of American Religious Empiricism and Mythical Trickster Figures (both by university president Dr. Hynes) are available in the Cushing Library for checkout. They are on display as you walk in, near the library bench. We will soon be developing a university publications web guide.

Closed Monday

The Library will be open regular fall hours this Saturday (10 am -3 pm) and Sunday (4 pm -9 pm), and will be closed Monday, September 6 (Labor Day).

Upcoming Events: Save the Dates!

We are excited to break the news that so far we have three events we are lining up for this fall. Everyone is welcome, including the public.

  • Thursday, September 23, time TBA: An Art Event with Dr. Martivon Galindo, our second Artist-in-Residence
  • Thursday, October 7, 7-9 p.m.: Final Class Reading, Poetry 201B.
  • Late October/early November: An Art Event with our third Artist-in-Residence, Dr. Robert Simons

As always, each event is “RWBS” (Refreshments Will Be Served). We encourage suggestions for more programs and events and we are actively seeking artists-in-residence for Spring, 2011 and the following autumn.

ASHNU groups are also welcome to reserve our study rooms and tables for meetings and activities–see our website for the reservation form.

“Only Connect” (Your Laptops to the Projector)

For faculty in sudden need of a cable or adapter, the Library now has VGA Cables and MacBook VGA Adapters available for one-day (including overnight) loan. They’re at the Access Services Desk.

If you need to return cables after-hours, no problem: just pop them in the book drop (at the south end of the library, across from Hester). If you want to know if a cable is available, search our catalog (library.hnu.edu) for the term VGA.

As a reminder, our fall hours are 10 am – 9 pm Monday through Thursday, 10 am – 3 pm Friday and Saturday, and 4 pm – 9 pm Sunday.
