Thursday, November 4, 6-8 p.m. (Art talk from 6:30 – 7:45)

Art talk by Professor Robert Simons: “Simultaneous Contrast: An informal and very illustrated conversation about making art.”

Location: Library. This is a 45-minute talk with socializing before and after. Refreshments will be served.

Professor Simons is the second Cushing Library Artist-in-Residence. His work will be on display through December.  Professor Simons has taught in the art department of Holy Names University since 1975. His colorful, engaging, and challenging work has appeared in many regional exhibits.

Examples of Professor Simons’ work can also be found in the permanent collections of the Achenbach Foundation for the Graphic Arts, the California Palace of The Legion of Honor, and the United States State Department, Art-In-Embassies Program.
