POWERED DOORS COME TO CUSHING LIBRARY

Arms full? Using a wheelchair, cane, or walker? Got a kid in tow? Never did like fiddling with our annoying doors? No worries! Thanks to Campus Services and Stu Koop, HNU VP for Finance & Administration, the Cushing Library now has powered doors.

Just press those big square buttons (on the pillar) and our south doors automatically swing wide open, then quietly swing shut (ahhhh…). Now everyone can access our food-friendly facility with free wifi, iMacs, chairs and desks galore, scanners, whiteboards, cozy study rooms, and friendly, helpful staff!

FINE AMNESTY EVENT EXTENDED TO MONDAY 1/17!

In the grand Christian tradition of Jubilee, the Library will be waiving all outstanding fines for items RETURNED BEFORE TUESDAY, JANUARY 18. As a reminder, the library has a book drop (across from Hester).

If you have items that are overdue or will be overdue soon, return these items BEFORE January 18, do NOT pay the fines, and on January 18, your fines will be automagically wiped out. If you currently have outstanding fines for overdue items you have already returned, do nothing, and the fines will be waived on January 18.

Please note that items returned ON OR AFTER Tuesday, January 18 will accrue fines. Additionally, we will not be making cash refunds for fines paid now or in the past. This is a one-time-good-deal.  Jubilee only comes around every few decades, so return those books!

REMINDER: SPRING HOURS

Our spring hours, in effect as of Wednesday, January 12: Monday – Thursday 9-9, Friday 9-5, Saturday 10-3, and Sunday 1-7.  Find our resources online 24×7 at http://library.hnu.edu.
