Did you enjoy Persepolis? Do you like graphic novels, such as Sandman, Batman, or Ghost World? The Cushing Library has the movie, the sequel, and ten more graphic novels and memoirs you may also enjoy.

Read brief reviews and see staff picks in our Persepolis guide, browse the books in our new-books display (across from our Research Help Desk), or view the collection in our group catalog:

Help Plan Our Future!

This Friday, January 28, from 1-2 p.m., we are hosting an open session for students, faculty, staff, and alums to speak with Linda Demmers, a renowned library building consultant. This is an opportunity to share your “wish list” for the library, big or small–softer chairs, more study rooms, more classrooms, or a whole new building. Nibblies will be served.

The Library has been visiting other libraries over the past year, to glean good ideas. Here are some of the library-interior pictures we’ve taken over the last year:

Santa Clara:
Loyola Marymount:
UC Merced:
University of the Pacific:
Purdue University’s Learn Lab:
Plus an amazing library in Brisbane, Australia Karen visited in 2008:

We have more trips ahead of us. If you’d like to join us on local trips, please let me know.
